Ready to Get Technical?
You love the Internet. You use web apps daily. Maybe you even work at a company that produces web apps or a tech startup trying to gain traction with a new web service. But if you aren’t a part of the technical team, perhaps the details of how these things work feel fuzzy. If your daily job is connected to a web app, do you wish the “Engineerish” language made more sense? Wouldn’t it be great to sidestep the bug-filing cycle to be able to make your own quick changes to the project without bothering your teammates?
Or maybe that awesome web app idea that’s been floating around in your head is calling to you: “build meeeee… BUILD MEEE!”
There are amazing tools available today, like Ruby on Rails, for quickly and efficiently creating web apps. So what’s stopping you from fully utilizing them to kick ass at your job or lauch a whole new career for yourself? I may know the answer: it’s hard! The unfamiliar territory of the technical side (programing languages and web frameworks and version control systems OH MY) is a lot to figure out on your own.
That’s why I’m launching the first ReadySetRails offering: Rails Fundamentals Workshop. In one day, in a small-class setting, we’ll go from “what exactly is a web app?” to watching you deploy your very own app to the public Internet. Even with no programming background, the Workshop will teach you the foundational concepts of Ruby, Rails, and all the other tools you need to create and launch your own apps.
Unfamiliar Means Hard
Doing it yourself is only hard if it is unfamiliar. But with our partner-based, interactive style of workshop education, you will gain familiarity and learn by doing. Luckily for Rails, the web tutorial and screencast ecosystem is healthy, but that just can’t offer you the same personalized attention of our in-person training. By following along with the experienced professional instructors, you learn best practices from the start and get immediate answers to your specific questions.
We will be announcing dates and pricing shortly, so hop on the mailing list now for some awesome early bird discounts and great tips on how to get technical and get learning with Ruby and Rails.
We are looking forward to seeing you transformed into a kick-ass web developer!
